Hailing from Gisborne on the east coast New Zealand's north island, has a strong reggae and R&B influence in his music. He loops hip-hop beats using beat-box techniques and layers neo-soul and reggae grooves over the top to create a smooth bed to lay his soulful vocals. 

His voice is a gift to the ears, with the tones of an old-school soul singer coupled with the technique of modern R&B.
