Sharon Matheson is a professional harpist who plays a celtic size, 140cm high Lever Harp. She has vast performance experience as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. As a soloist and chamber music performer, Sharon has played for the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia, Governor of Queensland and freelanced for weddings, corporate events, functions and concerts along the Queensland coastline from Hayman Island to Lismore, NSW and from Brisbane, west to Jimbour House, near Dalby, Qld.

Orchestrally, Sharon has played with the Queensland (QSO), Tasmanian (TSO) and Sydney Symphony Orchestras (SSO); for musicals, operas and ballets at QPAC, Brisbane; the Queensland Pops Orchestra and with the backing orchestras for Olivia Newton-John, The Whitlams and Kate Miller-Heidke. One 2023 highlight, for Sharon, has been playing John Williams score for Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Episode VII) with QSO, whilst the movie played on the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre’s large screen.

Sharon has a very extensive Playlist with a diverse range of pieces and musical styles covering the genres of Classical to Celtic, Folk to Jazz, Pop to Rock, Movies to Musicals, Animé (Studio Ghibli) to Australian and TV Themes to Heavy Metal music that will add that special touch to any style of wedding. Her Playlist has many pieces that Sharon has been able to adapt to be played on her Lever Harp.

Sharon has a variety of performance dresses to wear. For a formal wedding, she has a selection of three solid colour formal dresses with scarves - black with jewels, purple and a red dress. Casual to semi-formal options are also available.
